What did the guy expect them to do with the gun? Drop it because he chased after them? :

Bad way to learn a lesson that could of been avoided with common sense.

Precisely! It was already established the gun was no fake when a shot hit a wall inside the pub. Then to go out in pursuit of them???? What th..........????

It's pretty stupid even if you don't know if it's real, but if you have established that it is real it's a no brainer.

You sit your butt down and have another beer if the pub is getting robbed :P

If they ran without stealing anything and everybody was fine, why would you try and be a hero?

All was going to be ok, sure some traumatised patrons but they would of been fine.. I feel sorry for him but he bought it on himself..

I saw on the news that when they smashed the window on the way into the pub the bouncers and the patrons started throwing bar stools at them then they fired a shot into the wall, but the bar stools kept coming and in the end they just wimped out and took off....thats when the chase began and the dude got shot......silly man : should have just let 'em go.

Similar thing hapend in sydney not long ago a group of 16 and 17 yr olds robbed a pub .the customers took chase and one guy got stabbed and killed. very sad
