Cassandra. She's a fox. In French she would be called "la renarde" and she would be hunted with only her cunning to protect her.

I reckon my Kindergarten teacher was pretty good with the guitar, as we sang Christmas Carols and Peter COmbe songs.

Awesome playing. Does she have a future? Probably not. Awesome guitar players are a dime a dozen.

Melbourne peoples might remember a real good female guitarist from years back , her name was Josie , she had a band called "Josie And The Argonouts", they used to play around vic about 10 years back , back in pub band days .

Personally i wouldnt look to her guitar playing for a future for her / not at the moment anyway ! , she's ok but nothing special . I've seen plenty of young chicks shred the guitar heaps better than that.

Lol , remember that young kid 'Somone' Camalari a few years back ( i can't remember his first name nowerdays ) , he was like 9 years old and ripping out joe satriani / steve vai / steve ray vaugn / etc etc leadbreaks and all without a sweat ..lol / now that was talent ! , allthough you don't even hear anything more about him anymore either.

As far as the Melbourne music scene goes, it died out years ago when pokies came in. I was actually making quite a nice living playing guitar in bands years ago before the pokies came along and wiped out all the pub bands . It's a shame , those were the days.

( and im pretty decent too ! , can play satch / via / gilbert & classical stuff pretty easy ) , but he just absolutely left everyone i know of for dead , including myself , the bloke was a born natural .

What about Jennifer Batten? Not sure if she played on the albums but played the live tours for Michael Jackson including the parts done by by Eddie Van Halen, Steve Stevens etc.

Check out some of her examples...not bad http://www.jenniferbatten.com/audio.htm

she's good ... plays true and good technique

they are distinct U2 pieces that you either get right or you don't, they are not too hard to play .... but she plays them better than I do :

I have a video of a live concert in Europe of those pieces ... her playing reminded me of that performance

Edge has a certain sound and timing (imho Edge is a little rigid for my liking but very dependable - like a bass player and Bono needed that backbone to sing off) ... she did well to come close, interesting she also played bass as a lot of Edge's style is derived from bass runs

definitely has a future ... not sure if it will pay her way ... time will tell if she brings her own style to the fore

thanks for the link ... I really enjoyed it

Hi all again, I hope this is not too boring dragging up ageing threads, but with a quiet night and 12 hours to kill, you can come across some interesting things. Just by co-incidence I found this lady on Conan OBrien. She is tiny, comes across at the end, but what an un usual style of guitar playing.

http://www.sonymusic.com/artists/Kak...idFull_100.asx

Very interesting.

Cheers all.
