PFM all Ford nats at DRAG TAG!

Just received my new edition of PFM in the mail. Flicked through it and found an ad for Drag Tag proudly stating that they are the new venue for the All Ford Nats. When I read Andrew Berry's column it confirms that the Nats will be dyno drags, power runs and the show and shine at Drag tag Campbellfield. I am disappointed to say the least. I have been considering not renewing my subscription for a while, my decision has now been made for me.

I received an email from Heathcote, they had such an uproar that they will hold the Fordnats themself, good work Heathcote raceway.
Sounds like Dragtag have made PFM an offer they can't refuse ?

Australian Muscle Car magazine is the only magazine i never miss. Only buy PFM or Street Machine if its got an XP article in it, don't bother otherwise.

Hi Everyone,
The All Ford Nationals was cancelled last month by Andrew Berry but due to many Racer's requests we have decided to Put it back on the Calender and Run the event ourselves. Details and entry forms coming soon.

good on heathcote raceway. they know what a racer wants and they give the racer what they want. drag tag can bugger off, they are over priced, id rather spend my 800 odd dollars ( cant remeber the subscription price) on fuel to get to and from calder or heathcote to race, and if i want to dyno my car i'll just go down to mikes dyno or another mob that do dyno tuning/ power urns etc

Ive got the new PFM but havent had a chance to read it.

Im not going to knock dragtag as i havent been there yet, am acctually going next weekend just to spectate and check it out. However i can understand that a car show WILL BE TERRIBLE @ dragtag lol!

Drag Tag is just a fad that will eventually die when everyone gets bored of it, hopefully sooner than later. I found it quite interesting that when Channel 10 did a story on it for one of their news bulletins, the company conveniently left out drag in the title and referred to themselves as The Tag System. These people are obviously scared of the public backlash of having such an anti-social name. If they had any balls or credibility they would have told the media exactly why the place was built instead of crapping on about driver education and the like.

What really ****ed me off was how the news presenters referred to everyone there, with the exception of the young girl in the stock Commodore as hoons.
“Police and hoons give it the thumbs up,” they say. What a crock of s**t.

My understanding of dyno runs is that they are usually carried out in second gear only. What’s this going to do to your driveline if your car is a manual? I can see a few fried clutches and broken CV joints etc, here.

If you really want to send a message to Drag Tag, boycott the people that sponsor them. Put pen to paper or e-mail them telling them that you will no longer buy their products or use their services.

Drag tag is only one of their names they use, they also have circuit tag, I beleive you also use your gears, not just leave it in one gear

i only would be entering in car show not dyno etc so i am wraped.only an hour from home and not dusty!!! but the thrill and excitment of the 1/4 mile stuff will be missed
