Hi all, After many requests from fellow landau and Ltd enthusiasts, I have decided to make a few of these boot badges. I have one on my Landau which is a fairly convincing copy. This is the "L" badge that covers the boot lock on the rear, it is the plastic insert only (does not come with the chrome surround). I do not claim these to be perfect copies, nor genuine, nor NOS.
This is something that I have done off my own accord and at the request of a few friends. The reason for this post is, where do u guys think I should adverstise this item? Ebay, trading post,??? Please let me know what u think regards alex : |

a bit off topic but i had a lanlau in the mid 90s and the boot lock badge was stuffed
i got hold of a FE LTD Boot badge and it fitted perfect and looked ok except it was black and said LTD instead of red with a big L on it. did ford use the same boot lock badge from P5 all the way to FE(except the insert) ????? |

They were different through the models. The Landau (i beleive) swung from the top and the P5 swung from the bottom. As the Landau was on the body it had to clear the trim underneath, BUT in saying that, some later models were thicker and did clear the trim. In other words, there were different ones but they tend to fit anyway.........for what its worth!
