Fresh Air Blower queries

Hello Everyone…. Need some feedback….

When A/C is turned off and recirculated button turned off to allow fresh air into cabin, why do I still feel the air coming through the vents to be a little warm? I have even turned the temp lever to the ‘coldest’ setting and yet, the air is still a little warm.

Does anyone have similar experiences? :

Yep I know what your talking about. It is really evident putting "cold" non-ac air on the windscreen, and it fogging up.

Its a conspiracy, a deal between petrol companies and Ford in order to use more aircon = more petrol used

Simply put, the air coming through gets warmed by your engine a little, so it's never as cool as the outside air. Every car does this to some degree.

Having no A/C also fogs up the car quicker as the humidity in the air coming in plus that which you exhale can't be removed. A/C is a de-humidifier and keeps the air dryer.

Tks guys! It's just that I had 3 cars (pulsar, corolla, prado) before my present Focus and all 3 of them did not have warm fresh air coming thru the vents at my settings described above. So I was curious ... is it due to a poor design issue or is there somthing I should ask Ford?

It doesn't sound like you have an issue at all. It just depends how warm it is. Honestly, if the AC works perfectly, doesn't sound like you have a problem.
