HI
I bought a 2000 Au II sedan and noticed a small sticker inside drivers door that has printed on it "Field Campaign" "Ford" it also has a reference no. and a completion date on the sticker. Can anyone tell me what this sticker signifies. I'm guesing my car was used in some sort of Ford promotion campaign. |

Thats to certify it has had 1 of the factory recals done (a problems fixed) , the auII had 2 recalls i think , i have 2 of them labels in the same place with different serial numbers .

Mine has 2 stickers. 1 is for the power sterring rack but not sure of the other 1.

Mine has the 2 stickers and is an 2000 model AUII , same as ROD403's model car, dunno about the different build month/dates effecting the recals in the 2000 AUII though ?

Make: FORD Model: Falcon Variant: AU, AUII Date Range: October 1999 - January 2001 VIN Ranges: Status: Inactive Defect: Accelerator cable slides past grommet. Consequences: Sudden loss of power. Corrective action: Ford dealers will replace the level grommet on the cable. Notif. Date: 12/02/2001 DOTARS No.: R01/016 Supplier Name: FORD Campaign No.: SRCC215/Z Problem: Front upper ball joint retaining bolts torque. Make: FORD Model: Falcon Variant: AU Date Range: 1999 VIN Ranges: Contact Ford Customer Service Centre, phone 1800 333 306 of facsimile (03) 9359 8933. Status: Inactive Defect: Incorrectly torqued front spindle upper ball joint retaining bolt(s) results in bolt(s) becoming loose or failing. Consequences: Loss of steering control. Corrective action: Inspect and re-torque the front spindle upper ball joint retaining bolts. Replace any damaged bolts if required. Notif. Overtightening of the steering rack mounting hardware may degrade the thread locking compound on the stud. Consequences: This condition may allow the stud to loosen. In extreme cases the stud may detatch from the crossmember. Corrective action: Ford dealers will apply a weld to the end of the stud to stop it coming out if loosened. Notif.
