Very nice!!!!! I would wait until it settles in a little and then judge it from there...
How is the ride / handeling compared to the stock springs? |

feels just like the std springs apart from hard cornering where it sits a bit flatter, bumps and that feel the same pretty much. IRS comfort!

thats one low au! i just dont get why people lower the back more than the front? no disrespect, just curious i just think you'll have to be very careful with it.
I have factory tickford xr springs and pedders gas tourers all round on my futura, and i bottomed out in the city driving up that horrid little lonsdale street the other day and squashed part of the undercarrage! and i was taking it easy! but i guess thats the price we pay for looking awesome! |

If you look at a stock height XR you can definately see that the rear is a fair bit higher than the front. As in very noticeable, so to make the car sit evenly you have to lower the back a bit more than the front...

Quickcorty, they should settle a little after about a week or two of driving. Also, try to take a photo on level ground. Those photos appear to be taken on a slight uphill. Might be why the rear look much lower than front than it should be.
As for the SL on front and SSL on rear, as has been said by a couple, the AU's have a '*** up' ride height from factory. With King SL on front and SSL on rear, it will even out the ride height and sit a bit more level. Although, not all King Springs are made even, and I have seen a difference of + / - 10mm in ride height for the same spring. Note, King recommend SSL for off road use only. You can go SSL front and rear, but the nose will be slightly lower than the rear (which is fine if you like that look), plus there's hardly any shock travel with SL on front as it is, with SSL on front you'd be sitting on the bump stops, and... King SSL on front is not really practicle for a daily driven AU. Front tyres will rub on entry/exit of driveways (if guards are not rolled), and the front lip will touch most gutters when parking (not so much of a problem with the AU1 Tickford kit.. as Quickcorty has). Give it a couple of weeks and take some photos on a more level ground then post 'em up. If you're still not happy with it's looks, then I appologise for recommending the SL on front and SSL on rear set up to you. It was only what I thought looks good on a AU with IRS. Sorry again.

the corty wont need towing for a while, so i thought id enjoy my au a bit more, permits are cheap!
012- nah u did good, it looks good to me, im staying with these springs. I had a full tank of fuel in those pics too. and still will for a while as i work so close to home, i though $1.16 was cheap lol. if anything i might go raise the rear 10mm, but ill see how the front looks in a week. |

Quickcorty,
Ive recently had the same done on mine. SSL rear and SL front. I had mine for a few weeks at that height and couldnt bear the look of it as the back appeared the be lower than the front this was on a level service. So after a few weeks I had it changed to SSL front and wouldnt look back. I have no problem with my guards and they havent been rolled. I do recommended getting short shocks on the front as mentioned earlier they will be sitting on the bump stops. My shocks are called durashock. Anway everyone has their own preference. Pics of my car are on the show 'n" shine pg 119. goodluck

Other thing to take into account is that the rear passenger side is approx 10mm lower than the rear drivers. I thought this was unusual so i rang King direct and they advised that it is normal with the falcons. I measured mine
this morning and the back is only 5mm higher than the front with a full tank of fuel. Goodluck making up your mind
