I have a nice low km HP XR6 S2 auto that I picked up without the Tickford engine.
So have decided to convert it to a VCT engine and a manual transmission. That should give me the fastest possible stock AU i6 for the least $? (even with the current stock i6 I am amazed a how much quicker the live axle HP feels compared to my other 2 IRS VCT XR6's...a manual and an auto) Have now collected all the parts. (I am not sure which VCT ECU I will use yet?...maybe a TI J3 I have?...or maybe I should buy the specific BPR J3?). Instead of replacing the engine wiring loom, I was planning to just run the extra wire from the engine bay to the ECU. Is it as simple as running the extra wire from the VCT actuator in the engine bay to pin 72 on the ecu? Has anyone done this or knows exactly what I need to do? Thanks for any advice in advance. |
