There is a company called Racechips that sell a plug in chip. Apparently you can get significant torque increases and it is safe. sells for around $500

Bit of a late post, but i purchased a diesel tuning chip from 'Tuningkit.com'(nearly identical to racechips) in Germany last year-for my 2012 2.0 tdci-got the classic version $170 au plus about $30 freight i think.Connected up easy and played around with the different settings for a few weeks settling on good power/torque /drive ability.Yes it gives big improvements in torque from 1400 rpm-2500 rpm but definitely not the 150kw horsepower claims, that would maybe be with max settings dumping in heaps of fuel at high over spec fuelrail pressures etc-not good for the engine! But for $200 was is worth it-hell yeah lots of wheel spinning torque and a more sporty fun car to drive.
But ended up remapping the ECU so sold it.Re-map gave a smoother power surge and more top end power(2000 rpm -4000 rpm) and mapped out the egr. ECU re-map about $120 from europe online plus bought a KessV2 ECU Programmer about $180 and flashed it myself. local diesel chips or remaps in Melbourne just way too pricey |

I've found this, it looks similar to tuningkit one, but a bit cheaper. |

Tuningkit Technologies GmbH & Co. KG
Website: http://www.tuningkit.com/chiptuning/...ocus/index.php for the ecu remap: http://www.ecufiles.com/ register to see pricing etc.cost me 95 euro sent them my ecu file and took about 5 days to get the remapped ecu back from them instead of 1-2 days as removing the EGR on the delphi 3.5 ecu was a bit more tricky(i had a go trying to remap myself using winols but very hard without the right damos maps) used a kess v2 clone attached to my laptop and OBD2 port to read/write ecu costs about $100 on ebay was very straight forward ,no DTC error for egr or issues at all and a nice safe power boost(but not the fun surge in torque the tuning kit had!) i use forscan app with the iphone and wifi obd2 reader while driving to monitor the boost, rail pressure, etc. in real time too. great app for mazda or fords reads everything. |
