Hi guys,
a mate of mine is looking at a new car, trading in the liberty as he needs something that can tow a substantial weight. He's found a BF XR6 with 6 speed auto for $17,995 but the guy is stuffing him around. There is another BF XR6 but only a 4 speed auto and they want $15k from memory. Then there's the curve ball, there's a FG XT 6 speed auto for $15k. Now they all have tow bar and the BF for $17 has a few more options but has nearly 100,000kms. The other BF has about 80,000kms and the FG has 60,000kms. I think the FG is they way to go personally. thoughts please. Rich

The base FGs aren't too bad really. Equipment levels are good for what they are really.

Fg xt sounds like a winner, agree with Mechan1c , they are really not a pov pack these days.

FG - a bigger leap over the BF than the looks suggest.

Tell your mate to jump on the FG soon as it won't stay available for much longer.

FG for the win.. But get an XR6 or a G6.. XT's are too povo for the price.

+1 for FG XT
Replace the POV wheels with some FG XR 17" and fit a set G6 tail lights and it will look pretty good. |

FG XT for sure. You can usually get most of the 10' or 11 model XT's from auctions with less then 50 000kms for around that 17k mark. 08's usually go for around 12-13k

if the FG XT is indeed a 6spd, and not just a 5spd with a sneaky new boot, then id be onto that in a flash
