On the news tonight during a story on NSW considering Qld type Hoon legislation they showed a yellow GT that was confiscated off a 43yo 888 fan in Orange.
Anyone off this forum ? |

I don't think there would be many 888 fans here anymore

There's been a lot of talk about returning 888 merchandise, maybe the driver decided this was a better way to get rid of the 888 sticker on his windscreen...

Basically NSW MP fella saying QLD has noted a mere 4% offender repeat rate (where the cars have been confiscated/sold etc).
Shame about the QLD road toll increasing though, duh. As dumb as dog stuff sometimes, but I guess it makes a sizeable portion of the populace 'comfortable',- knowing the government is doing something about the road toll. * Okay okay, noise pollution:-) http://www.news.com.au/couriermail/s...9-3102,00.html This compares to NSW trying a wheel-clamping trial, I understand for the 12 month period we clamped 9 cars and this has been deemed a failure, and so NSW GovCo now consider QLD's 'tough and effective' measure. Lol lol lol.

Whilst no doubt it is very important, I doubt the annual number of deaths on the road is the only measurement used to determine the success of all road based initiatives. Ohh, except by the media.
