in the resent rains in north queensland my car got flooded it has started and then stopped. engine winds over but no fire at all, every thing else works including windows and central locking

How much of the car was flooded, where was the high water mark.

try drowning ignition system with crc or wd40 ,plugs ,leads ,coil pack to displace any moisture.
