"Unfortunately, since this Kuga looks pretty cool, naturally, the U.S. won't be getting it."

WOWEEEE

What a ripper, and going by past and recent Ford Euro products, should handle and perform well. If it doesn't sell adequetly it won't be the vehicles fault.

Really does show just how ordinary the Captiva is, Actually also shows just how ordinary the RAV, CRV and Forester are as well.

Looks awesome, hopefully the trend of road cars looking like concept cars continues throughout the range. Kinetic is the shiznit!

Same old problem... I bet you there'll be a "lack of stock" and it'll never take off downunder.

It looks good though.

Remember that it built on the Focus platform, that's being assembled here in OZ from 2010/11. It would make a nice little brother to the Territory

Then the Territory can be the proper 4WD it should be to compete with the new Landcruise 200 series!

It would still end up being a Toorak tractor mate.
I have yet to see a Terry go off road, you would be a nut to even consider dropping one wheel into the mud in one.

That's the kinetic design language doing it's work...

Would it be a bit annoying having the Ford Kuga and Toyota Kluger in similar classes?

Ford Australia have put their hand up and with a bit of luck it should be here in '09, depending on wether they can get a supply from Europe, which shouldn't be a problem. Probably not in the numbers they want though, just all the other Euro stuff they can't get enough stocks of.

Talking to a few saleman and fleet dealer mates on the weekend, this is the biggest problem with fiesta, Focus & Mondeo. All good cars, but who's gonna wait a few months for a car? Might not be Ford Aus fault but it's not good enough for buyers to be told to wait for their car

Um, no.
The craptiva is narrow and tall. If you are basing your ideas of it being copied by ford then I suppose all cars with 4 doors and 4 wheels are copies. Also, the craptiva is built in a nation that copies more cars than not.
I don't see anyone in germany or even europe saying; "gee, I wonder what Korea is making? Lets copy that because their cars are so well ahead of ours"

Thats a common problem for a lot of manufacturers such as VW, Toyota, Mazda etc, the difference is that they get decent allocations of cars from the factory, whereas Ford Europe always seems to struggle to get the numbers up to where they should be. They seem to build what they need and then give Australia whatevers left over. They should be increasing their production numbers or building new plants. But I guess this should be a thing of the past when Fiesta is built in Thailand and the Focus is built here. Just need to do something about Mondeo and Kuga.

Are you people for real? I don't see any Craptiva in it, not even remotely.
