I have a 2002 AU XR6 (live axle) with 94,000 on clock. I'm 57 and not a millionaire and have never abused this vehicle in any way, it is pristine condition.I have had what I thought was a diff noise (quite loud) for some time with some rear bearing noise. I had the rear bearings done today and was told by the mechanic that the carrier bearings where in bad shape (hence the fairly loud noise) he also stated that this model was mentioned by Ford that the hardness of the bearings was not upto speed. Can anyone please advise me of my next move and approx cost of the work required.
Kindest Regards Chris |
