Talking DIY CAI, XR6T Snorkle?

just thought id let you guys know that i modified my standard airbox. i cut a hole that is similar to the (BFTyphoon under the headlight CAI). just wondering if a XR6T Over the radiator Snorkle would fit an EF Airbox? any help would be great. : all i need now is a K and N Filter :

yes it does. i have a snorkel off a BAXR6T and it fits fine. it takes a little to work it on. plus i only have one screw holding mine over the radiator. stays pretty still tho. it will bow at the top due to the bonnet moulde but its still heaps bigger, even compared to the BA XT snorkle

thanks for super quick reply LOL, sorry no pics camera not working atm. all it is is just a hole that is about 4" wide and 3" deep directly behind the headlight. i wont take you up on the offer untill i get a KnN thanks anyway.. i just bought a new stock filter just to see what diff in power was. after i reset ECU i took it for a drive and theres little diff in power but better throttle responce and heaps better induction sound!!!

thanks CARTZ. glad to hear that it fits. considering that the BF Typhoon under headlight cai and a bigger snorkle on BA's with filter and tune give around 8-10kw, i dont see why this one should be any different do you?

XR6T snorkle and F6 snorkle are the same size. dunno about BF Typhoon but BA is the same. Also the same a AUXR8 but they are hard to find since they stopped making them.
i dunno how much airflow u will get past the headlight on a futura. on XR's u get a fair bit but they have a different headlight arrangement. anything is worth a try in my opinion ;)

They do fit quite easily. Just need to trim the bottom lip back by about 5-10mm. You will need to drill 2 new holes in your radiator support panel.

ok cool guys. i think you got a bit mixed up about the intake lol, i mean that the BF Typhoon has the same hole in the airbox as i just cut behind the headlight, the only difference is they have a seperate snorkle that goes behind and down the light, Not the over radiator intake snorkle! : , the only difference in the BA/F's- EF/L's is there ABS fuses are not between the airbox and light, therefore they can have the seperate snorkle. i cant because of the fuses. but i do have a bigger hole cut. :

so i figured that if BA/F's I6's can upgrade to a turbo snorkle and Typhoons lower snorkle with a filter and get 8-10kw, why cant i :

There not ABS fuses on the EF/El's behind the passenger headlight, they are actually 4 relays that control the thermo fans.

Or you could drill 2 holes in the snorkel to line up with the old ones couldnt you?

No, not for me anyway. The holes in the rad support didn't even come close to lining up with the snorkel.
