It’s an interesting strategy to release information to the dealer network in advance, in an official capacity.
Does anyone know somebody that has made this enquiry of a HSV dealership? I wonder as we head into our own upgrade what FPV might do?

There's two 'versions' of LS3 because there's two different exhaust systems on the Vette. The 'ultimate' LS3 makes 436hp though still fairly mild in tune. The US runs different fuel to AUS and the Corvette has a totally different exhaust setup to the HSV's. And then there's our emissions regulations... which means HSV must recalibrate the ECU for local HSVs.

note the negative comments? granted most trolls don't buy new cars anyway. But i've certainly seen a trend appear, HSV/Holden is coping negative feedback. Ford/FPV seems to get positive feedback......reading most articles and comments there of, most sound like a shopping list for Ford.

With the HSV's I cant get past the tacky filler panels they have above the tail lights, which the tail lights fill on the lesser cars. If you look closely, you may even find the paint colour doesnt even match properly with the body colour. The buyers must be blind when they purchase the car.
The FPV/FG XR8 tail looks so much cleaner. |

It'll be interesting to see what changes they make to the bodykit with the VF scheduled for release in 12 months. If it's a good update it could be a long year for FPV with nothing but the GS & F6-E to hold it over until Coyote comes on stream.

Hahaha.. that honestly looks terible! HSV have ruined it.. The current range is atleast 'clean', the E2 looks like it crashed into a Repco.
The front end is a COMPLETE mess. HSV - Rice Spec. |

I like the current HSV look but that is horrid. Looks like 1 of those Holden 6's where someone has stuck on some cheap aftermarket kit. Yuk.
My mate has recently bought a 295 Malloo ute and reckons the gauge around town can go upto near 20 lites per 100km...Ouch!! Fuel management or not Id hate to drive 1 of these 327's spirited around town and pay to fill.. Last edited by ED Classic; 07-08-2009 at 11:05 PM. |

Oh no! Thats terrible! Looks like an aftermarket bodykit. Interesting that the grey area belowthe front grille on the wagon front bumper is similar to FPVs panda eyes.
I think the effect ofthe current and facelifted HSV wagon is ruined by the SS rear bar. The VT-VX HSVs were so nice, the styling was very integrated and macho but as others have said, this is well and truly rice. |

Maybe we've got it wrong.
Perhaps HSV have listened to their customers and are attacking low re-sale prices by making the newer models less desireable than the previous generation? I hope you're taking note FPV! |

I'm not a fan of the chrome strips above the grill on the wagon.
The front end seems abit cluttered now aswell.

It certainly looks busier than the model it replaces. Back end is almost SUBARU like with the fins ? I'm gonna go against the grain here and say I don't mind it.
At least they update their wheel design with each upgrade...... |
