My old XF with the 3 speed was a terrific ute. Had over 250,000 km when I sold her, never let me down ever and never touched apart from routine maintenance. A lack of gears doesn't mean a thing, the 3 speed box is probably tougher than what the first 5 speeds were. Cheap, easy to maintain, and reliable, something that Ford was built on. Ed
