I would be thinking that your modes aren't changing at all and is staying in ECON.

i put it into max performance mode,,,
its a noticeable difference, i like it.

Its probably a bad gear position switch, are you able to manually upshift and downshift 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 ?

Yes, it shifts manually. I've just had a new BCM and PCM put in due to both of them stuffing up. Please help me. I don't like economy...
