Well after much deliberation I have offered to help her sell the car.

It drives well enough, but I didn't feel comfortable accepting her offer to just take the car.

That said though..... It really clarifies just how far Australian cars have come in terms of refinement and NVH in two short decades....

Oh and you were all right, it did sound great. Window down kinda car for sure!

what are you on about?

owning a car can be a great financial burden (some more than others) especially if your not very good at diagnosing issues & fixing them yourself

free or not, he wants/wanted to know what he was getting himself into

Flame suit on but my VP was in the top five best cars I've owned. Plain white exec with HSV interior and suspension. 355 stroker with head work and a big cam. 3.9 gears in the diff too. It was an absolute weapon and sounded amazing. Pretty cheap car to fix and modify too. Aside from when I destroyed the turbo 700 but it copped a LOT of abuse.

It is an Australian made and built V8 - they are not a bad car Berlina is the mid range like the Fairmont
All the VN and VP V8's had the long range tank in them - my old VK ex HWP had the 85 or 90 ltr tank in it
I do not know why people bag the crap out of these things

Keep it, nice cruiser. Nice wheels + lower + Nice exhaust = Nice cruiser.

Holden 5L is once of the nicest sounding V8's IMO

Eeerr you helping the sale, hope it sells. Or can i have it?

Some of you people need to have a think before you post, the OP asked a simple bloody question yet gets crap replies from what seems like a bunch of kids on holidays... oh wait it is holidays. Some of the people commenting in this thread need to GROW UP.
