This should be a good point not bad. Only good car thats had them was Audi then everyone else copied. DRL's arent that nice if every ****** has them
Everyone has copied it because I believe its now a legal requirement for new cars sold in Europe.

Which could be part of the reason why the HSV's have it in the first place since they are sold in small numbers in the UK, and possibly other european markets.

A somewhat brief albeit "good" review! Go the GT.

Exactly, its more then a "rice audi rip-off"

People are way to quick to judge.

No worse then foglights anyway...

Only thing that bugged me about the article. FPV spend big money on the V8 and not shoehorn one in and its still American.

What is wrong with this journo? Doesn't he know this car was made to conquer Baffurst and we don't really care how well it behaves in the real world?

"Through corners the FPV does a good job, considering its lardy kerb weight of 1835kg. The steering is reasonably accurate and delivers good feedback, particularly when navigating tight hairpins the wet. Even with a touch of throttle-induced oversteer the car can be casually controlled through the corner. Indeed, communication is good. Better yet, it would appear as though the rack rattle that has beleaguered almost every FG Falcon and derivative to date was not evident in our red GT. I'm not going to celebrate just yet, but I am cautiously confident...

FPV's GT is a satisfying car to drive hard and a lot more fun than I remember, though you will learn its limits pretty quickly. It's chubby mass means it'll want to push wide if you get overconfident and at higher speeds narrow roads can get a little foreboding. The Brembo anchors do a good job of washing off speed and it should be said the suspension was better than most at soaking up bumps in the road -- which came in handy on poorly surfaced sweeping corners."

Because the GT can be compared to BM's, Merc's & Lexus and hold their heads up ....... why compare it to a HSV?

How are DRLs usefull for driving during the day?

so DRLs become mandatory & the old 5watt fog light gets you fined?

if anything i find a row of super bright LEDS more of a distraction...

A Mercedes-Benz C 63 is listed at 1730kg http://www.mercedes-amg.com/#/c63-specs so 100kg more for a car that has no where near the budget spend on R&D and is a full 5 seater isn't to bad imho.
And an E 63 is 1840kg, lol.

Get used to them, they'll be a legal requirement here sooner or later. And all new European cars will have them as new models are introduced over there.

Falc'man, the new rack is EPAS or just an improved version of the rack in the MkI's?

If the owner wants DRL's, they can install proper ADR compliant items which are available, replacing the fog lights so they are fully integrated. There is one GT in this forum with them, and they dont look tacky at all.

So that problem solved, the review is even better now.

Hi mate,
Not EPAS but from what I understood from Bossxr8 it's in preparation for EPAS in a year or two - the previous steering rack isn't compatible with EPAS.

It is "Mark", always has been in reference to revisions of a product. Look up the definitions.

My favourite part of the review, couldn't have said it better yet so many owners are so quick to tune and throw their warranty away, go figure...
