Welding with Mig under car [Not the V8] and a hot slag fell into ear...
Sheesh it hurts now....Put it down to experiance!!
When welding on the ground when lying on your side to put wet plug in ear!!!!
It sizzzzled for quite some time!!!!Very noisy also !!! Atleast it didn't fall out the other side..

Woolen beenie pulled down over your ears works well in these situations... And you can still hear your weld, sound is a big part of a good mig weld.

Yea has issues with good earth as under there was faiirly dirty and couldn't get angle grinder in some places to clean it up..It kept making and breaking arc but its stronger than the tack welds before...First time I'v actaually had steam come out of my ear....

Did you get the bit of slag out of there? You dont want it to rust and fester in there....
