got the 3,89 diff gears fitted today,it definately feels a bit more snappy of the line .it surprised me actualy i thought they would've made a bit more difference than they did ,i thought it might have been real peaky in 1st
i reckon you could go 4.11's easy enough without it being to toey. once i get the speedo sorted i'll go back out to willow bank and see what difference they make at the track.hopefuly the bottom end will hang in there its blowin more smoke than a sigma : |

This good news mate.I thought the same thing when I went to 3.73 ratio..not much difference at all. 4:11 had crossed my mind.

3.9's make good sense really.
Any lower and you need power right to the 5750 rpm cut out and not many Falcons can do that most peak at 5250 -5500 best. now you will ahve a full 4 gears for the qtr mile its got to be better. |

well , after towing the trailer around for work today i can say they have made a huge difference.it feels great its like the trailer isn't even behind it ,i kept looking to see if it was still there and hadn't fallen off.
i'm keen to get out to willowbank and see what it will do. i'm hoping i can at least get it back down to 14.5's.it will be interesting to see what 60ty footers it'l crack now ,with the 3.45's i cracked 1.989 and last time iwas there it did a 2.000 .i'm hoping it'l go alright, the last few times i have fiddled with it i've gone backwards . . |
