BZZZZZZZZ WRONG ANSWER.

We have taken out Ford Extended warranty on both my Mum's Fairlane (10/2001), and My Fairmont(10/2000). and both have already paid for themselves.

in my mums case. something went wrong with the aircon. the heater box was leaking and water soaked through all under the carpet. the whole interior was out as was the dash while everything dried. new heaterbox put in, everything replaced. new heater box was faulty. dash out again. new box again. dash back in. at least $1500 in labour alone. let alone the supposedly $800 heater box etc.

In my case, Radiator cracked for no apparent reason. fixed under extended warranty. thank you.

i couldnt be happier with it.

just an opinion.

He wasnt talking about Ford warrenties, he was talking about those used dealer warrenties.. and I agree, they are a waste of time usually. I've gotten to a point now I only buy used cars from the actual Ford (or Kia) dealers, that way the warrenty is worth something.

I used to work at a for dealer in the service dept, you'd be surprised at the amount of stuff that gets knocked back under extended ford warranty.

I reckon the extended warranty is all a con. Just write no excuses if i say its broken you fix it free and ask them to intial it on the contract and watch them run away.

You would be surprised how much normal wear and tear repairs you need to pay to get fixed.

Still waiting to pick it up at the moment - should have it this arvo - pics should be up sometime tomorrow. colour is a silver / olive type colour. looks the same as twisted XR8's I think.

Might try to convince the missus that it needs lowering / mags for christmas...
