Default Auto door lock on takeoff.

Just wondering if anyone knows why current Escapes and Focus don't have the auto lock feature like cars of past?
Locally OZ produced cars did and our 2017 Transit Custom does but it seems to no longer be a feature.

Probably the same reason the Territory had memory seats linked to your keys but the Everest, even in titanium trim, misses out.

are you sure it's not configurable? Our focus doesn't have it but I've never looked as I hate it.

I have never ever driven either a car or Truck with the doors locked.

I figure if I have a crash it might be useful if someone outside can get me out if I cant

(Once bystanders have finished videoing the scene and posting to social media)
