Default AU XR8 Factory sub install?

Hey guys, mums xr8 has the 6 stacker headunit and wiring in the parcel shelf for the sub, chucked a premo shelf in and my working ltd sub and no go, it wouldnt work, does it need the amp?

Yes. If installed you will find it in the boot behind the right hand covers .

Correct.

You will see the amp on the right hand side of the boot behind the lining of your LTD. Not sure if the wiring will all be there in the XR as some of the amp wiring looks like an afterthought - not necessarily loomed.

Just a thought, if you power up the amp, will a standard sound system work? And will it pick up the sub woofer?
