Here is a PERFECT example of the arrogance and self righteousness of these lycra clad nutcases. The bus driver is simply trying to do his job and pull into the bus stop... how dare this idiot harass him like that? That ladies and gentlemen, is a snapshot of a typical cyclist's attitude and goes to show why they are so universally hated. |

so if a cyclist has to pay rego and have a licence, does that mean they can take up the whole lane? or even 2 lanes when passing the cyclist in the left lane? that would be fair wouldn't it if they are paying to use the road? What about using a freeway?
Does a 5 year old living in a court have to have a licence to ride their bike in the court and does it have to be registered? Quote:

In Europe the cars do not give way to cyclists, and the cyclists ride accordingly. The roads there are much narrower, and driven at much higher speeds yet no one is hit. Seems our drivers are just shithouse.

Registration is not a ' user pays' system like so many of you think. Do some research in to what your fees actually cover and go toward.
It also appears that brake pedals aren't standard equipment like I thought they were. When approaching a slower vehicle, apparently there is no other option other than using the wrong side of the road with approaching traffic. Driving a car really is much harder than I realised! |

no way am i reading two pages of posts on this topic
opinion. SOME cyclists are complete dills nad will not use bike lanes or the side of that country road the otherside of the left white line that just happens to be not as smooth as the road , and when the weekly clubs are out and theyre weaving in and out of cars banked up i mean cmon then theres the cyclists that do the right thing: they use the bike lane i have no problem with those cyclists

Some of us have lost family members whilst they were cycling. Perhaps some of you might have a different opinion on cyclists if that was your family member.
Have a think how far 1m is. It is not much more than an arms length. Quote:

My brother hit a cyclist once sent him flying of his bike, he pulled up at a set of lights and mr cyclist Thought he would take a rest while the light was red and hold himself up with my brothers front fender my brother beeped and told him to use the traffic pole, mr cyclist was upset by this and slammed his fist down on to my brothers bonnet Leaving a nice dent then rode through the red light to escape didn't get far enough away I'm afraid I'm surprised how nutty my brother is he didn't drive over him

If the cyclist was a car would that be alright. No. then the Bus driver does exactly the same to another rider up ahead, again if the cyclist was as a car would it be Ok No. Just because the cyclist is not a car does not make what the driver did right. JP |
