Default IRS Diff Ratio

I have a complete IRS cradle inc diff, drive shafts etc but not sure what it came from - possibly a Fairmont but not sure if 6 or 8 cyl. Don't know what Series it is either

The ratio label sticker is not readable but the metal tag on the filler hole says its high performance.

I'm hoping its a 3.45. Were there any other ratios ratios available?

Can't recall seeing a "High Performance" metal tag on an AU IRS - usually see this if anything

As for the diff ratio there will be two labels,

yellow one on the diff head,

white barcode one on the cradle,

Cheers

Thanks so much. Its leaning up against a wall so didn't see the cradle barcode sticker. It's a 3.23. The metal tag says High Performance SE approved oil to be used. So it may not even be a LSD?

Sounds like a single spinner V8 Ghia diff.

Easy way to check LSD or not - lock up the pinion flange and turn one hub. If the other hub turns in the same direction its a LSD, if turns in the opposite direction its a single spinner.

Did any of the AU series V8 ghias/non-ghias come with LSD without it being a special order?

Thanks again. Easier said than done cause the rotors are rusted up from sitting outside. Mate was going to use this to build a Tru Track for XR8 but ratio is wrong so no use. I notice it has different thickness driveshafts to my T3 diffs so may as well strip it and just keep the cradle.

What about the driveshafts - are they same for XR8?
