My only concern was what affect 4 adults and large volume of water would have on the suspension so this little setup eased my mind. |

Is it double demerits for Aussie day? I mean I saw 5 cop cars today which means it must be double demerits. On a normal day I would be extremely lucky to see 1 cop car.

Quiet possibly one of the best days ever for. Cruised up and down the nard in the morning with the flags sticking out of my tray then proceeded to spend the entire day on a section of a beach with hundreds of other party goers with the Hottest 100 playing through a PA system.
And at night time there was the sacrificial couch burnings on the beach, then the club. Excellent day!

My Aussie flags have been sitting in my cupboard for 12months. I bring them out for 1 day a year: Australia day. I put them on the car yesturday morning bevore drving to Pakenham. When I got to Pakenham I saw that I had a flag on the right and a bare white pole on the left sticking out of my rear windows.
Seems I lost one. Bugger!! Serves me right for not buying Austrlian made.

I spent Australia Day drinking Japanese beer and working on my German-built Ford. Hypocrisy? Or a celebration of multiculturalism?

I spent my day in front of my BBQ cooking like I love to do any other day of the year. Also managed to do some household cleaning, went shopping for groceries and watched TV.
Good day that was overshadowed by my 8 month old squealing every 5 minutes cause he got cranky over nothing...

I had a BBQ and a few beers with mates.
One was wearing an "Australia" cap, I asked to have a look at it, and sure enough, "made in China" on the label. He sounded quite indignant while throwing it in the bin

Didnt do anything with the car this year, but this was last years effort:
Flags on boot, roof, bonnet, rear parcel shelf, dash, 3 flags on each side off the back windows, and 2 aussie flags on the back window, and 1 on the front window. Even got pulled over and the cop just breath tested me then had a quick laugh at the car, which was lucky because at the time it had black windows, black tail lights and bald tyres lol.

Australia Day for me was held at Caloundra by the beach. Lots of good bands playing, a good and happy atmosphere and a large tree providing a great shaded spot for playing with the kids, knocking back a few beers, eating too much and catching the odd snooze.
When the drunks came to the fore around 5pm, we packed our bags and headed for home. Was a great day with great people. |

A bit late now but to be totally honest, I have no mates where I live (I am of the hermit type) and as such don't have bbq's or parties or anything to go to. Would I go if someone sent an invite? You bet I would, but I am not the kind of person who goes out and meets new people.
So to me aus day is just another day of the year I sit at home and twiddle my thumbs. This year however it was more stressfull as ever, but that is another story. |

Well for the first half of the day i went 4wding then went home then tried to organise somthing with friends to do for the rest of the arvo/evening....ended up being on the computer for the rest of the day since they cant get their own "poo" together..
The setup i had on my car was the aus flag layed out on the dash like a dash mat and a ~30cm long flag tied to the back of my roof basket. Only pics i have I suspect next years may be better.
