Hey guys I finally decided to buy a new car, this can be moved to the build thread after a little while just wanted to share my new pride and joy with everyone for awhile
The scoop is MASSIVE overkill, but for the moment its staying it might grow on me or encourage me to upgrade The stock standard exhaust will be the first item on the list, just doesnt look right with the XR-50 kit. Im not too sure whether to keep the Tickford Rims on, or swap on my Crypts any input would be appreciated OR with these Rims And finally a nice neat interior to finish it off, might add some better speakers but all in all a really comfortable, nice looking car. First question what kind of mods can be done to VCT, i know getting cam work done is near impossible. But what other mods would give it a bit more go....eventually a S/C is in the works but for now its going to be pretty simple. SVI gas is also a path I'm considering but I dont know if there is much point because it wont be used for 1/4's anyway ill have a petrol tune, but if anyone has a good reason why i should i would be glad to hear it |

Yeah it was late when i wrote it haha, yeah i meant XR8 cause of the bulge.
The FPV stickers will be first to go then the XR6 badge, but the bulge is growing on me. Yeah i've decided that i'll be swapping the rims over to my crypts, so there are some tickford 17's for sale if anyone is interested |

Guys i need some opinions
As my build progresses i'm most likely adding a blower, if my car is going to be dual fuel will i need a SVI system to handle the extra load a s/c will put on my fuel flow? I'm picking up my car on sunday and have to book it into parnell, and I dont really want to fork out the extra cash if its not something I really need, obviously it would be nice to have but if i can drive daily on a mixer system then switch to petrol for 1/4's that would be nice, but i think that would be too easy :P Also will I need a 3'' exhaust system installed for a s/c and where are some recommended places in western vic? Thanks very much guys |

The bulge looks grafted on. Is the bonnet steel pmpdau?
In terms of tips, I had these. I would say go bigger as I still had room to go on mine. If I had dropped them down further, a larger diameter would have been perfect. Around 4" in size, or if you can get them stagged, it will look spot on. The body kit demands nothing less than 18" rims. 18" if your sticking to factory, or 19"s if your going aftermarket. The rest of my car photo's are located here, some with the 19" RJR blades I had. http://s248.photobucket.com/albums/g.../AU/?start=all |

The first shot, the way the sun reflects off it, and the way the bonnet sits down along the sides. Mine sat up a little and you could see the struts. This looks a little more flush.

Try Steve Smith at Motorpro in Ballarat for LPG.
Dude, I've got some 18" TS/Rebel wheels that I think would suit perfectly ! |

Hey guys I just realised that my car has 4 nuts per wheel (missing the locknuts) and also missing the jack and all its components.
The car was brought with a RWC certificate attached, and these missing parts would obviously make it fail, so i'm guessing the guy i brought it off removed them after it passed. Do I have any standing in this situation, i mean its obviously unsafe...cars are meant to have all the nuts attached and if by chance there was an issue and i had to switch a tyre i couldnt due to the missing jack....:( I understand buyer beware, but this is a blatant safety hazard. |

You could contact the buyer. But I'd just buy new locknuts which i think around $30 and contact FTG for a Jack and the other bits you need. Might be another $50. I don't imagine theres a big market for used factory jacks and they might have a heap of ones for an AU. I know it's not the point, but I don't know how you'll go with the seller.
I don't see the point in removing those things from the car. It's a little weird. |

Yeah contacted the seller, he claims that it never had the fifth nuts and the jack must have been misplaced.
Ive already purchased the locknuts for $28, yeah I would imagine so if he doesnt come though with the jack ill just go talk to the guys at FTG. Just a bit frustrating, i paid decent money for the car so i expected for everything to be there. |
