Mate... tread carefully....

An ex house mate used to gloat at how cheap her Telstra mobile internet was. She would sit in the lounge watching TV and chatting on MSN for hours and hours on her mobile, even though her laptop was in her room with a LAN cable and ADSL hooked up.

She moved out all of a sudden... I'm still getting letters of demand from a debt collection agency for around $2000.. which was her last 2 months of phone bills.

Is it really that important that you have access to messenger while you are out and about? I don't know what eBuddy is, but I'm sure my house mate was using something similar.

Cheaper and safer to grab a mini laptop, and a wireless broadband kit. I know its bigger, but if its something you're looking at taking to and from work, uni, etc.. it might be a cheaper and better option.
