Default Series 2 or series 3

I have just bought a febuary 2002 au forte wagon, the person selling it tells me its a series 2 and the insurance company tell me its a series 3. Anyone know how I can tell which series it is.

that would be a 3 as the ba's came out mid - late 02, best bet would be ring ford and give them the vin, they can tell you

AU Series three was run from November 2001 to September 2002, so it is a series 3.

Series 3 badge, smoked headlight surrounds, colour coded mirrors and trims, side skirts added, clear repeater lenses and a darker tinted windscreen.

Inside of SIII windscreen also has the black dots in the area between the sun visors above the rear view mirror.
