friend of mine has an auII the problem is he blew a fuse,
for the power window, now repco has told him that this fancy fuse need's to be reprogrammed?????WTF the visual apparance of this fuse is a blade type but longer 30a 12v and metal skin!! to me this should be a time out fuse and reset. has he heard the advise wrong or is repco off tap...

it is a circuit breaker and AFAIK it should just plug in if it fails

he bought a new cercuit breaker as said blade type but metal skin and longer.
for my belevife they should reset by them self. how ever he was told by repco that it need to be proggamed to the "bcm" by ford. is this BS????

pps note the car is at my place but he wont install till he goes to ford.
i think he's just going to burn money for nothing am i wrong?

The fuse should be replaced and it will work as normal... none of this reprogramming crap...

The relay that runs the windows is the one in the center of the relays in the fuse box. It's just above the fuse puller. It's 40 amps and should be white.
Also, the circuit breaker fuse is the 30 amp item in the fuse box that sits above the relay I described above. If you need to test one, just grab the relay on the left of it, it's also white and is for the rear demister. It won't hurt to yank it out and switch it with the window relay. Then try the rear demister. If it works, you know that it's not the relay, but the fuse, or perhaps something else. All the best with it. GK
