Unhappy Need more power!

hey guys, well as the title suggests i want more power outta my series 2 XR6! It's auto (wish she was manual) and current engine mods are a 2.5" exhaust with pacemaker extractors and hi-flow cat, and a k&n air filter. I know ofcorse the best power gain would be either a turbo or supercharger but im strapped for cash atm and can't afford either! :( Is there any cheaper alternatives to gain more kwts at the wheels that isn't too expensive? cheers!

hrmm well i never really thought about it lol. just an idea of mods around the 1k mark probably. I really want an edit and custom dyno tune but is the money you pay for it really make an amount of difference?

For 1 k can you get a manual conversion? Comfort is better with an auto but the manual gearbox gives you an instant 10 rwkws at the wheels in a stock or modified ford six.Not to mention a stall speed comparison of 5000 rpm if you want to. If I had a manual I would now have a dyno sheet with 180 rwkws as I have put out 170 a few months back in my auto before issues set in.

A bigger cam and a flash tune could see you get a bit of extra kw's.

For that kind of budget i would look at a new CAI either G&D or Bluepower and have a bit of cash left over

You want mroe kW's im gussing to get moving quicker.

Instead of chasing power, have you thought about diff gears or a high stall converter/shift kit?
Both will give you the feel that you've gained alot more power.

Brent you could bet a 5 speed conversion and as said above if you did the work you could get it in and running for 1k.
