hi everyony i relaced the fuel reg on my au forte and i thuoght it fixed the prob but it didnt ......... it has ended up being the fuel rail it was rusted out bad!!! i rang ford to get a new one and they said it is a commen prob with au"s and it is a "wopping" $480 for a new one and nearly droped the phone.So i have found a second hand one i have been told that it may last and it may not it depends if it is in good nick or not............. has anybody had this problem ?????????? ..........troy

you could try the wreckers? $480 is a bit steep

I've never seen a fuel rail rust.. EVER!
Where exactly does yours seem to have gone?

fuel rail = alloy
BTW u can get aftermarket high flow rails for $70

Very strange, never heard this before.
The V8 ones are chromed steel, and they do last so you should be fine with the second hand one. |
