Default AU Ghia master switch issues

Hey all again,

Having the second "major" issue with my car... (in 2 years ) the master window switch is rooted. i have pulled it apart and resoldered/cleaned up literally dozens of times, but the longest it has lasted is 2 days. i inquired about a new switch at ford, they rekon retail is 195. the dude did say they take care of trade customers, but im like "and what about me?" to which he said he couldnt help.

Now, its annoying as **** not being able to wnd my window down, but i am not paying 200 bucks for a freaken switch!!!

soooo anyone work @ ford, or can get good mates rates? i need the master switch for an au2 monty ghia

I get trade-priced parts from Ford. If you can find out a price and part number, I can arrange to get it, but will need to post it to you, so hopefully the part + postage will be less than full retail.

same way you do - they buy it in cheaper than what the customer could get it if they bought it.

sorry, should have been a bit clearer with my words.

Right. You mean they can order it in. I wasn't sure whether can't was supposed to be can or not (or vice versa).

I had never thought about buying parts at trade and selling them to AFF members at cost plus postage - perhaps I should!

I was on the landline to Ford trying to get a price - sorry!

Trade = $160.00 - they have 2 in stock.

I'll just get an express post quote for you, but I can't pick up the part until 4.30ish, so it may not get there in time. I'll check

***updated***
Express Post reckons they can get it to Brisbane by tomorrow from Canberra, if I post it before 6.00pm. Postage cost for 500g satchel is $7 - I doubt it would be much more than 500g. So $167 total. Let me know if you want to do this and we'll arrange a money transfer somehow.
