My DVD player packed it in so though I would replace it with a DVD recorder. Must have at least a 250GB hard drive and be under $500. Had a look at the shops on the weekend and most DVD Recorders with a 250GB HDD are roughly $800. Audio dosnt matter as I have a seperate Dolby Digital reciever.
However JB Hifi have a brand called Soniq and it had new 250GB HDD DVD Recorders for $355. The same ones are on Ebay for about $400 + $50 postage (and idiots are acually bidding on them!) So does anyone have any experience with the brand Soniq - is it made in the same factory for instance as other good brands? Normally I am a brand name only type of guy but can't get past that low low price.
