CBD SWEETENS UP - KRISPY KREME OPENING ANNOUNCEMENT Ending months of speculation, Krispy Kreme today confirmed that their second Victorian store will open at 607 Collins Street, Melbourne City. The store will open to the public on Tuesday 26 September from 6:30am, and will serve all 15 Krispy Kreme doughnuts, including the signature Original Glazed and other popular varieties such as Chocolate Iced with Sprinkles, Powdered Strawberry Filled and Glazed Cruller. The new CBD home will also serve Ice-Kreme and premium espresso-style coffee made fresh to order. Krispy Kreme is currently recruiting staff for the new city store. Krispy Kreme is looking forward to arriving in the city and providing the CBD with a Krispy Kreme experience, as Marketing Manager Mark Gilbert confirmed: "We're really excited about our first city store opening in Melbourne. There have been rumours that our second store would be in a suburban location so it's great to be able to announce that it will in fact be in the heart of the city!" said Gilbert. "Perhaps most pleasing is the timing of this store opening - we could not think of a more 'Melbourne' moment to arrive than AFL Grand Finals week," Gilbert added. Before their city store opening, Krispy Kreme intends to give Melburnians a sneak peek doughnut treat with an exclusive fundraising drive for Melbourne Citymission, details of which will be released shortly.
