Default What's your take on the new-found appreciation of the AU Falcon?

Hey all,

I owned an AU Falcon for 10 years, from 2006-2016. At that time they were largely ignored by the general public.

Of late, i've noticed the AU Falcon has become somewhat of a cultural icon, spawning a following. I am not sure if it is due to their incredibly tough constitution, the fact that they're the last rwd car with the classic setup (live rear axle etc) or that their initial styling cues have become appreciated with the fullness of time, or perhaps something else I'm missing out on.

What do you think of the AU's new found fame? Do you like that it is now, maybe ironically, actually appreciated? Or do you yearn for the days when it was the unloved underdog?
