Default Taxi Vehicle Replacements.

After the Falcon has gone, what are we looking at for Taxi Fleets?

And also commercial fleets like commercial travellers who used to love the Falcon Wagons.

All I can think of, is the Skoda Octavia Wagon which is used OS as a taxi. Which means a VW based engine platform. Small 2.0 Lt capacity engines can't stack up to the inline6? Camry is a 2.4 litre engine, but the hybrid's electric motor kicks in to give it considerably more power when needed.

Subaru Outback as a Taxi?

Or what about 8 seater vans?

I would be interested to hear any opinions based on research and common sense. The taxi operators have to think about long-term running costs, practicality and maintenance well beyond ordinary consumer use. Whatever vehicle wins out (and I hope it is not going to be just streets full of Camry Hybrids) will change the vehicle landscape of the ever popular and familiar Falcon sedan and wagon.

This is my first post, so would the TROLLS just move on. Thanks for that.

Steve Harrison.
