I've heard similar numbers. Before you couldn't get a rental here. Now mackay has a high vacancy rate. Rents are dropping, New houses aren't getting built, constant stories of businesses cutting numbers our going under completely. I think most of the people that moved here for the boom have gone back home once the down turn hit.
