Default Ever so slight grinding feeling???

Just recently come into ownership of a 2001 au Xr6...and must say i am in heaven.
Its only done 69,000 and is in smick condition.
But over the last few days ive noticed a ever so slight grinding feeling when turning sharply,or navigating a rounderbout.
Is this just a sign that the brakes are about to be a issue,or is it a sign of somthing worse??
Sorry if its a bit of a newbie question...but hey...i'm a newbie!! : ...MERCUTIO.
