.. after much waiting, my Christmas present arrived in the mail a few days ago. Cost me about $65 (inclusive postage and handling) from eBay. Delivery time was just short of 3 weeks (would have been faster if not for the Christmas rush). Basically just some photos of the installation.
Model: E-2993 Not a very small air filter, 20 cm in height/length Stock air-filter still pretty clean, only done 2.6k kms .. as close as it gets. Just nice, fits nicely in the airbox.. but not as snug as the OEM air filter The engine bay.. Not to forget the all important disclaimer Basically the equipments needed are pretty simple. 1. Ratchet 2. Adaptor 3. Drive extension for ratchet 4. Socket 7mm The only thing I found hard was the engine bay was quite snug and it wasn't very easy loosening the screw at the back (near the fuse box), hence the need for the drive extension for the ratchet. Other than that, it's a good fit. .. took the car out for a spin, and thru my butt dyno... couldn't hear any difference in sound, but at lower/mid revs it does seem a little smoother (which is good enough for me). Will monitor on any changes to the FC later |
