Default Re: AU2 XR8 Coil Packs

ok in the process of putting the coils in now. After removing the left coilpack i found a free-floating what looks like a capacitor assembly, with what looks like a ground point with wear marks where it's been fitted before. Part number is PBT-GF30.. trouble is it doesn't fit flush with the retaining bolt on the coilpack in order to act as a ground.

Is this thing necessary? Appears it was already floating there or maybe i'm wrong? It just won't fit back where it looks like it should, physics doens't allow it.

I've read it's anything from a boot release circuit to a radio noise supressor..

anyone?
