It seems that a court case in Queensland has shown a spotlight on the invalidity of speed cameras used in Victoria.
A expert witness revealed how many speeding fines are invalid when there is an object nearby (such as a sign or another car) that may casue reflections and false readings. This fact is well known and documented in radar manuals and police guides but is often ignored by radar operators in Victoria rendering thousands of fines invalid. Refund and compensation is demanded. Good to see the issue of speed cam revenue raising isnt dead yet in the media. See the article HERE |
