The story goes, my resonator died the other night.. or I noticed it the other night. It was rusted out. I had it checked out the next day, and instead of putting another resonator on, they simply put a pipe running from the middle muffler with my original twin tip. I really dont know much about exhaust systems on the AU.
My questions are.. 1. Should removing the resonator enhance the sound from the exhaust, as it is noticibly louder? 2. And should there be any benifits from removing? Slight increase in power, fuel economy, etc. My car specs - AU1 99 Forte Auto, i6 4.0l.. standard exhaust. The only mod is a Pod Filter inside the air box with a Tickford Snorkel. Just a couple of stupid questions really.
