Talking Well, it's that time of year again...

Yep, the lovely time of year when Ford send their test-Falcons to Central Australia for hot weather testing and development :

Here around Alice, I've seen two cars so far - a black ute and a black (or similar dark colour which I may have not seen clearly) sedan. They were both wearing bras, but not the ordinary car bras they were wearing last year - these ones seemed slightly looser fitting and also came pretty much right over the bonnet. Makes me think they may be hiding a new looking bonnet or maybe front end - ?

I've seen the ute a few times and the sedan once. Every time I've seen 'em they've been towing what appear to be dyno trailers - I say 'appear to be' because these trailers are different to ones I've seen before - only ever seen 'em where they are fully enclosed, like a white box all covered in with rounded edges. These ones have a kinda white box down either side but just a 'cage' covering the middle and also have a flashing orange light on top. Pretty certain they're still just dyno trailers though.

Think I've found where they're hiding 'em out near the Tanami in their 'heat tents' - bit different setup to last time though. Unsure where they're based out of in town yet - maybe different spot to last year also.

That's about all the beans I have to spill right now, in the meantime maybe someone here may know of have a guess exactly what they're up to.

Let ya know if I find out more.

Steve.
