Allthough I finished my apprenticeship as a Plant Mechanic (Diesel Fitter) at TAFE in '92
I ended my Apprenticeship 3 months early due to Harassment from two emplyees at my workplace....
It was a really bad time in my life having also had a very messy bust up with my long term girlfriend

Back then I had no wish to remain a mechanic and moved from Coffs Harbour down to Sydney for a fresh start

So I never gained my licence as a mechanic...
(quite silly really considering all I had to do was apply for early completion)


I've been applying for different jobs over the last 2 months or so and I'm probably just being a little impatient....
( I know it takes a while for some of these jobs to fill)

I've applied for a several jobs as a tyre fitter with BHP Mitsubishi Alliance near Mackay
(still waiting to hear from them)
And one from DT workforce from the same area

several Serviceman positions too (changing oil/lube work)
with some big mining companies

What I'm looking for from this thread is just any other info people would care to share that may help my prospects
