Ok,
I have asked Laminge about a AFF V8SC Fantasy Championship which we could trial run this year and see if it was popular enough to go into next year. He approves of the idea, but we also need to see what type of interest it'll create. A fantasy championship is when you are given an amount of money to spend on cars and drivers and teams (fictious). Your points are worked out by the amount of points your drivers score in the actual V8 Supercar championship throughout the year. Example, if you choose Whincup as a driver, and he wins the championship this year, YOU win the fantasy championship. Teams points will be different to the acctual series points system. your combined drivers points go towards your team... Thank you for your time, Ben. |

I like the idea, but i dont really get it. The way i see it its just chosing a driver to win the chapionship, in which case many people will win.
Someone care to elaborate?? Cheers. |

ea90gl - you don't earn money through the season, stuff like that is left to the Sportal Dream Team comp. So if your driver(s) happen to crash, no costs are needed for new cars or parts etc, they are 'miraculasly' fixed for the next race (like in the real championship lol)
Compo81 - the Sportal comp. is still going ahead to my knowledge. This competition is run wholly and solely by AFF. Kermit73 - In short, you choose 1, 2 or 3 drivers as your [dream] team and whatever points they score through the season goes to your team. |

Oh and can I emphasise that drivers can be chosen as many times as they like, though ALL drivers will have to be chosen at least once...
