I'm wondering if anyone knows what the style of scoop on the bonnet of this Chevelle is called. Also, does anyone have any better photos of the same scoop on some different cars, or know of a mob that sells/fits/moulds them?
The best picture I could find is actually of a toy, because most pictures of actual Chevelle's (thought it may have been one they came with normally, seems not) didn't have the scoop fitted. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Not sure of the name but its very close to the Mach 1 mustang type i have on mine

I have a friend who imported one. It was called a boss mustang scoop. Costs a fortune to freight it over. He would have been better off getting a fibreglass manufacturer to make one up from scratch.

For something similar to that try rev heads fiberglass in Qld as they do many styles of scoops. They do have a web page.

Looks a lot like one of these:

And yes, freight from the US will be a killer due to the size, rather than the weight - I've investigated! Mustang Auto parts in Bulimba (Brisbane) sell decent quality fibreglass ones for about $250, IIRC - both the CobraJet and Mach 1 styles. They are the ones that actually bolt to the bonnet with pins rather than "stick-on" ones which require adhesive... they're good quality units. I was for a time considering using a stock XC bonnet on my car and fitting one of these scoops instead of finding a cheap GS bonnet.
