Hey Stav, if you really want cheap individual throttles you could try adapt the 20valve 4age ones. The standard silver top ones taper down to 43 mm i think, need to check to be sure.
They come in banks of four and usually price from 200-250 for a set.

you need to check fuel flow as well as pressure, it is possible to have pressure but not enough flow.

I didn't know that. The last pump would start off ok into the coke bottle but before 2 litres was in it was spluttering out in drips and drabs. I can access the return line easy but what should I look for? The same symptoms?

I realise this post doesn't equate to mods to the BBM but shouldn't we have a look at the EF falcons which had an intake specifically designed for the new BBM.

Go old school Stav,
FIT a 94/95 EF Intake, if Jim Mock say's it out performs the 3in intakes on the EL/AU falcons in his tech articles. Then it's a clear winner.

I actually think this setup has it's merit's... It has a 80mm airbox entry if you chop the tube off the lid, twin intakes too increase air velocity and a nice bend into the throttle body. What more could you want!!!

Pic off my engine, ****ed off the big K&N POD and gone OLD SCHOOL INTAKE on the 97 EL fairmont.

Run the return line into a container/bottle then start the car, you should be getting approx .5 ltr per 30 seconds going back to the tank(I think that is the correct flow volume)

A lot of cars that still drive, but have weak fuel pumps will not supply enough fuel to the motor to have any excess fuel going back to the tank, think of it as reserve capacity, the pump needs to be able to supply more furl than the engine actually requires.
